National Conference on Best Practices in Industrial Engineering
Sub Conference of Global Joint Conference on Industrial Engineering and Its Application Areas
Industrial Engineering in the Era of Industry 5.0
Industry 5.0, often called the Fifth Industrial Revolution, introduces a paradigm shift toward human-centric, sustainable, and resilient production systems. Building upon the technological advancements of Industry 4.0, it focuses on integrating human creativity and ingenuity with advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotics, the Internet of Things, big data, and cloud computing. This evolution underscores the complementary roles of humans and machines, fostering a collaborative partnership rather than a replacement dynamic. Unlike its predecessor, Industry 5.0 goes beyond technology-driven efficiency and economic growth, prioritizing people’s well-being, resilience, and sustainability. It redefines the principles of production and challenges conventional approaches to engineering education and corporate management. By encouraging sustainable practices that also respect the workforce, Industry 5.0 paves the way for more inclusive and adaptable systems. The upcoming conference will delve into the pivotal role of industrial engineering in advancing the vision and practices of Industry 5.0.
The GJCIE 2025 will host four co-located conferences: the 10th Global Conference on Industrial Engineering (GCIE), the 11th Global Conference on Healthcare Systems Engineering and Management (GCHSEM), the 12th Global Conference on Engineering and Technology Management (GCETM), and the 1st National Conference on Best Practices in Industrial Engineering (NCBPIE). GJCIE 2025 will serve as a prestigious platform for researchers, practitioners, and educators to share the latest innovations, trends, challenges, and experiences in industrial engineering. Bringing together leading experts from academia and industry, the conference will facilitate knowledge exchange and foster practical applications across the following modes of communication: keynote presentations, parallel sessions, student paper competitions, and poster sessions. This event will inspire dynamic discussions, interdisciplinary collaborations, and advancements in industrial engineering, shaping the future of the field.

This exciting venue promises to enhance the conference experience, making it a truly memorable event.
The GJCIE 2025 Graduate Student Paper Competition will recognize outstanding full papers in the fields of industrial engineering, engineering & technology management, and healthcare systems engineering & management written by student(s). The papers must be presented at the GJCIE 2025 and will be judged based on the technical content and presentation. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive the award certificates.
Eligibility Criteria:
• The presenter must be a Master’s or Ph.D. student(s) or a recent graduate(s).
• Papers can be industry projects as part of a course or co-op/internship, or research projects done at the academic institution.
• Faculty and/or an industry member may serve as an advisor on a project, but the work should primarily be done by the student(s).
• The paper must be written by the student(s) with only minor outside editorial assistance. One or more advisors may appear as co-authors of a paper, but the student must be the ‘first author’.
GJCIE 2025 Competition Rubric:
• Overall content: 1-10 points
• Data analysis and results: 1-10 points
• Presentation skills: 1-10 points
• Knowledge of the topic/confidence: 1-10 points
